2022 FIFA World Cup Points Table

The 2022 FIFA World Cup is scheduled from November 20, 2022, to December 18, 2022. The tournament will be hosted by Qatar, it will be first-ever FIFA World Cup to be hosted by an Arabic country. FIFA World Cups are organised by the international governing body of football once in four years. A total of 32 teams will take part in the tournament with the aim of winning the prestigious trophy.

All 32 teams will be divided into 8 groups (A to H) of four teams each. As per the competition format of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, matches will be played in two stages, the first will be the group stage while the second will be the knockout stage. During the group stage matches will be played in a round-robin format wherein each team will face all other teams in the group, accordingly, each team will play three matches during the group stage, based on the performance of the teams in the group stage, top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage of the tournament. During the Group stage, a win will entitle a team to 3 points, while a drawn match will give 1 point to both teams playing that match and no point will be awarded to the losing team. Below is the Points Table for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
